I have two Macs running Office for Mac. The first works normally: The other Mac doesn't like to update. A couple months have passed, and I've noticed that I'm still not getting any updates on this Mac - I'm at Anyone know how to fix this?
The only obvious difference between the two Macs is that the non-updating one is running El Capitan, while the one that updates properly is running Yosemite. I had the same problem. The problem is not with Office itself but with the Microsoft AutoUpdate utility.
There is a bug with v3. That bug also keeps Microsoft AutoUpdate from updating itself to a newer version without that bug. To fix the problem, download and install Microsoft AutoUpdate v3. Microsoft AutoUpdate should now find newer versions to install. Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help.
